If you have attended any of the ACREW events over the past year then it is likely that you know Oliver. Mr Maher works as our Marine Division Manager and is our expert when it comes to financial advice within yachting. Based in Palma, Oliver is ideally located during the Med Season and is at all the Carribean ACREW events.
What made you join UAG?
It was Nygel Harriman that introduced me to United Advisers. I was looking for an environment that was both challenging and supportive. Nygel explained what a tight knit family United Advisers is. Once I’d met David Cooper I knew I had to join the family! His motivation and energy are infectious and it has been the best professional decision I have made.
What is something clients are surprised to learn about UAG
The way we gain new business which is around existing client referrals. You can see from our Facebook Page that we have a number of very happy customers! They are our greatest source of business and means that our new clients already know the high level of service they should expect from United Advisers Marine.
Do you have a top financial tip?
“Do not save what is left after your spending, but spend what is left after savings”
Not technically my advice, but you can’t go wrong in following the words of Warren Buffet.
Can you share your best UAG moment?
Heading up the United Advisers Marine division has to be one of my greatest achievements. I presented the business plan to both David and Paul. It was a great feeling to know that I would be able to work in the Marine division and that I would be able to help grow the team. I love being able to work with yachties and the locations for events aren’t bad either!
